Shades
Fabric shades are most often of four types: roman, hobbled roman, balloon, or London. All are made to operate. They are most often used on doors or small windows such as bathroom windows or over kitchen sinks where privacy and decoration are needed in a small space. Fabric shades are not limited to small sizes, but can be made as large as the lift system can handle efficiently. They most often have a simple valance that finishes the top edge. The bottom edge may be straight or shaped. Banding or trim may be added down the side edges or across the bottom for interest. Fabric shades are often combined with stationary drapery panels to cover the wall above the window and give the appearance of a longer window. When lined with black out lining, they can block out all the light and much of the heat coming through the window. |
